JUNIOR MARAUDER SPORTS

Junior Marauder Sports was initiated by a small group of parents in an effort to help their children obtain extra skill development in hockey as a reasonable supplement to the town hockey program.  With the help of an outstanding skating instructor, the parents and players found a formula that allowed players to develop their skills without leaving the town program to play select hockey.  The organization quickly grew to help other children of Belmont who shared an interest in hockey development.

The mission of the organization has now evolved to provide children opportunities to obtain skill instruction as well as additional on and off ice training to supplement the programs offered by the town.  The organization strives to provide affordable, convenient, and sensible highly skilled training that allows children to play multiple sports, focus on school work, and make town team practices and games a priority.

The organization seeks to enhance the experience of Belmont children by providing skill development and game opportunities that select programs and private middle schools typically provide.  The organization further seeks to enhance Belmont Middle and High School athletic experiences by providing skilled training in a variety of sports.

To date, the organization has created spring and summer skating instruction taught by renowned skating and hockey coaches.  It has provided supplemental in-season skating and skills programs for children in 4th through 8th grade.  The organization has created a middle school hockey team that has worked throughout the fall to develop skating and strength skills and will play games against outside middle school teams from various public and private schools.  It has also offered on and off ice training to boys and girls in high school.  The organization has provided strength training taught by professional strength trainers for boys and girls in middle school and high school.  It has provided a weekly high school pre-season camp for Belmont high school hockey players.  It has organized a high school baseball program with intensive skill practices and mental toughness training throughout the summer.

The goal of the organization is to enhance middle and high school athletic experiences for Belmont students.  The goal is to encourage players to stay in Belmont schools by offering the benefits typically provided by private schools that are expensive and unaffordable for many families.  The goal is to allow children who have a passion for sports to obtain the necessary skill development not offered by town programs.

The organization has registered with the State and completed paperwork necessary for a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  We welcome your support and feedback on our organization and its mission.
